The Rotary Club of Mansfield has developed a series of outstanding programs in the community which have impacted the lives of thousands of people.

Past Rotary president Robert Meese said the most notable accomplishment of the club was the establishment of the local Crippled Children's Organization now known as the Rehabilitation Center of North Central Ohio.

Meese said he joined the club in 1950 and served as president from 1954 to 1955.

The Rotary Club of Mansfield also established the local Boy Scout Council, the STRIVE Program and McGowan Courage Awards.
