As part of National Consumer Protection Week, the Ohio Attorney General's Office and the Catholic Charities Diocese of Toledo are hosting a Financial Fitness Fair.

The event will take place March 13 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Longeviw Center at 1495 West longview Ave. in Mansfield.

 On Tuesday, members of the Financial Fitness Fair Planning Committee met with the Richland County Commissioners to review details of the event.

Catholic Charities site manager Rebecca Owens,  Directions Credit Union educational services and solutions coordinator Jennifer Paramore and ESOP foreclosure prevention specialist Tracy Bond, told the commissioners the Financial Fitness Fair will provide information to help individuals get through these tough economic times.

Owens said there will be 24 exhibitors on hand and 12 different presentations will be given. She said the presentations will deal with fraud, identity theft, home ownership and student loans.

Key Bank will provide a free contential breakfast for those in attendance. The event is free and open to the public.
