The State of Ohio Office of Criminal Justice Services has awarded Richland County Adult Probation/Court Services a grant of $42,667 for a new re-entry drug court program.

Director Dave Leitenberger met with the Richland County Commissioners Tuesday to discuss the grant, which will provide services to newly released inmates who failed to complete drug court before they were sent to prison.

Leitenberger said the court will serve close to 60 people this year. Leitenberger said adult court services also received a grant for more than $25,000 to cover last years cuts in funding for drug court.
