A local woman was arrested by a trooper from the Mansfield post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol after leading law enforcement officers on a chase Friday night.

Shawntease Moore, 33, is incarcerated in the Richland County Jail on charges of speeding, driving under suspension, operating a vehicle under the influence and felony fleeing and eluding.

She will appear for arraignment in Mansfield Municipal Court at 9 a.m. Monday.

The patrol says a trooper attempted to stop Moore for traveling 45 miles per hour in a posted 25 miles per hour zone on Longview Avenue.

She failed to stop and led the trooper on a chase through Mansfield, running several traffic lights until she lost control of her car and crashed on Straub Road at U.S. Route 42.

Moore was then taken into custody without incident with the assistance of Mansfield Police Officers and Richland County Sheriff's Deputies.
