Once again for the 15th straight year Southview Grace Brethren Church in Ashland is playing host to Wifflefest, a tournament started by Pastor Mark Abel back in 2000 when he was youth pastor. The tournament began with seven teams but has grown to over 125 teams according to SGBC intern Micheal Barr. And as always, the wiffle fields are all named for past and present major league ball parks.

According to Pastor Abel, this year the tournament also has an official "Wifflefest XV" coin and a small size engraved "Wifflefest XV" bat that will be given to all the team champions. Of the five divisions four remain to be played. Thursday it's the high school tournament, Friday at 9am starts the adult tournament, Saturday at 9am begins the elementary tournament, then on Sunday at 1pm it's the champions tournament which is new this year. It's estimated over 500 players will take part in "Wifflefest XV" at Southview GBC.
