This past weekend some 35 track teams and 550 athletes age elementary to high school competed at Mehock Field in Mansfield for an AAU regional qualifier. Teams came from the Mansfield area Youngstown, Bedford, Cleveland, and the Canton area. Most of the coaches use their summer time track teams as a chance to teach the fundamentals which they get ready to compete.

Saturday's meet sent the top 16 placers in each event to the AAU regional track meet next weekend June 26th through the 29th at Cincinnati Winton Woods High School.
