Ashland Elks Lodge 1360 held its annual Flag Day Ceremony in honor of the long-standing tradition. Elks officers spoke about what the American flag means, where it came from, and even displayed different styles and versions of our country's traditional red, white, and blue flag.

"It tells a great history of the flag," says Scott Ferguson, Elks 1360's exalted ruler. "There's a total of eight flags, starting from the very first one all the way up to today, and it's a very good history lesson. Until I started doing this service, I had no idea there were that many different flags that flew for the country. It's pretty neat."

Refreshments were served by ladies of Ashland Emblem Club 161.
