Film Crew Shoots Movie in Shelby

Conrad Studios, a Cleveland-based independent film company, is filming parts of their movie around Shelby and Mansfield. The movie, You Will Go Darker, is directed by and starring Conrad Faraj, who previously made The Wind is Watching, parts of which were shot in Shelby and also at the Ohio State Reformatory during the summer of 2012.

"We decided to shoot in the Mansfield-Shelby area because they're so welcoming to us," Faraj said.

The scene the crew was shooting on Sunday in Shelby was a car-chase scene, in which Faraj jumped onto a villain's car and hung on. "It's a really dangerous stunt, but we've got some really great team members here helping us out," he added.

You Will Go Darker is expected to open in select cinemas this fall.
