Ohio Health Med-Central and the American Heart Association held another annual Heart Chase event to try to prevent heart disease. Participants were tasked with dashing to and from locations around the downtown Mansfield area in teams to compete in a game that helped keep them healthy.

"You don't have to be a super athlete," said Brad Peffley, Ohio Health Med-Central Vice President. He described several of the activities. "One of them is you have to go to Richland Bank, and climb up the eight-story stairwell, and there are clues as you go up. There's one checkpoint where there are several types of food, and you're supposed to pick which is the healthiest. Obviously, you have a limited amount of time to do all these things, and it's spread out over five or six blocks around the downtown area here."

The main focus of the event was to show people that being healthy doesn't have to mean having to undergo strenuous exercise.

"You don't have to train for a marathon to be healthy," Peffley said. "You just need to be active and watch what you eat, try to exercise several times a week."
